Welcome-header

Thanks so much for stopping by! If you haven’t yet read the About page then I wanted to give you a quick summary of what you can expect from this site. My primary goal with the From Where I Drone blog is to create a helpful resource for those who are interested in drone photography/cinematography and for this to be a space to catch up on relevant drone news, find inspiring drone imagery and learn from leaders who are doing amazing work in this new movement.

I have some exciting content planned for the coming weeks, like posts to help you capture and edit your aerial imagery, as well as interviews with awesome drone photographers, so bookmark this website or sign up for the newsletter below to be notified of updates!

Also be sure to check out From Where I Drone around the web on:

  1. I love what you are doing here Dirk. My prayer is that God our Savior continues to bless you and your family. Keep up the good work. Blessings!!!

  2. Way cool site Dirk and it looks great! Congrats on the launch and looking forward to your continued success!

  3. As I was researching drones this past weekend, I stumbled upon this website! I wasn’t sure if you were going to continue with it since the last post was in March, but I bookmarked the page anyway. Next thing I know, today’s the grand unveiling of the site! Congrats on the launch and I look forward to your blog updates!

    • Hi Tina, thanks a bunch for sharing that! I’m so glad you decided to come back and check things out! Definitely stay tuned for more posts in the coming weeks and feel free to shoot me an email anytime if you have any questions!

  4. I just got my Ham Radio Technicians License and was surprised to learn you need this license to fly a drone if you want live video. Couple guys in my (10 hours straight) course and test were there for drones. It’s a lot of work but I’m guessing it’s worth it. First I’m gonna get s nick radio then I’m all about a drone. Also, don’t fly drones over active forest fires, okay?

  5. If you don’t have enough discipline to resist these temptations,
then you will not be able to reach your goal of saving money
for financial emergencies or making a major purchase in the future.
This episode alone allowed the exchange owners to make a profit of about 78 Bitcoins (about $37,000 as of this writing).
There is still much unknown about how Bitcoin will operate in the offline world, nor what legal, registration,
and taxation issues will arise from the
existence of Bitcoin and other virtual currencies like it.
